I Am A...

This is my last project for the year 2011. I'm sort of glad I waited it out...because it was a whopping 66* here today, albeit a little windy!!!! But seriously, that is unheard of for Missouri. As for the project, Clickin Moms issued a project called "I Am A..." and you have to finish the sentence with a noun. Something that describes who you are besides a photographer or mother (those two words were off limits). I thought and thought and I even asked for ideas from my December Mamas. In the end I realized just what describes me, BUT I couldn't decided between what word to use. So we shot with both words/phrases and I decided to go with....

This was a close second...

Not bad I suppose. It was successful in making me use my mind to think of  "who am I," "how can I make that work," and "can this be accomplished." In the end I think I was successful at showing people who I am.

The beauty of this project? Clickin Moms will donate $1 for every image that members submit to benefit RAINN, the nation's largest anti-sexual assault organization. One in six women are victims of sexual assault. Hopefully this money can help put a halt to such horrific violence.

New Family

For Christmas Santa left Evan a brand new green Rody horse. Today a stranger showed up and we just had to take her in. I'm mean, it's only fair that Arabella has a horse of her own right? Well, it's really her birthday present, but we figured she could have it a couple of days early so the two could quit fighting over the one horse.

It was friendship at first sight. These two have been inseparable.

Welcome

Welcome to my Project 365 for the year of 2012. I've decided in order to help further my photography skills I want to take a leap and give the 365 project a try. January 1st I will get the ball rolling and hopefully be able to keep up with this on a daily basis, child cooperation provided of course.

Now, I'm sure you may be curious as to who is behind this blog. That would be I, Bobbi Sharp. I've loved photography for as long as I can remember, but certainly having two children helped fuel my passion. I wanted to be able to capture little moments in time as they grow and I wanted to do it successfully. From there my passion has grown and I am still taking in all the knowledge I can and trying to apply it to my everyday photography. I've also been commissioned by several friends and family members for portraits and from there Bobbi Sharp Photography began.

I'm still in the beginning stages of my career but with time, practice and knowledge I believe this dream, passion and hobby will turn into a life long career.

Here are a few pics of the members of my family you may be seeing over the next year.
