Memories from August 2012

*Sissy started her first year of independent dance class. I think it was harder on Mommy than her since I couldn't see what she was doing.
*We're slowly figuring out how to get both kids to look at the camera for family portraits.
*Bubba is a complete ham.
*We finally have an updated photo of our entire family. It's not fabulous, but we're all in it. The last one was in 2005 at my Uncle's funeral.
*Bubba still dislikes unwanted hugs & kisses from Sissy.
*Enjoying a late evening run.
*Four generations in one photo. Grandma is still holding her own though.

Memories from July 2012

* It was not in my best interest to attempt a family portrait at the playground. Lesson learned.
*Bubba is still on the fence about potty training.
*The kids have their second dose of Chuck E Cheese and loved it, way more than Mommy.
*Thanks to Clickin Moms, the kids had their first lemonade stand. No profits to be had.
*Sissy & Bubba laughed at each other way too much while I was attempting to shoot them.
*On the fourth of July, the kids got their first taste of a "big" swimming pool.
*Sissy still despises the camera.

Memories from June 2012

* Baby Girl got her first Barbie...Merida, from "Brave."
* The kids find the washing machine so fascinating.
* Papa took the kids for a ride on the four wheeler for the first time.
* Bubba got new super hero undies.
* Sissy had her very first dance recital
* Bubba loves fishing indoors
* Both kids enjoy Aquadoodle time.

I'm a little sad that we missed taking our monthly family portrait this month. But in our defense, our day was so jam packed. We had to do yard work, and smoke a turkey for our 4th of July celebration. Who knows, I just might sneak two family portraits in for July. On a positive note, June was a month full of fun firsts.

* I had to send my beloved camera to Nikon for it's first (and hopefully only) repair.
*Sissy refused a ton of naps.
*Bubba played "model" for Mommy wearing a tutu.
*Sissy is becoming more demanding in dressing herself.
*We ended up in the ER with Bubba when he became sick.
*Mother's Day I was served breakfast in bed by my monkeys.
*We got lucky with an overcast day for family portrait day.

MIP - February 2012

Wow...another month has come and gone. It seemed extremely short despite having an extra day added on. Funny enough this was our first Leap Year as a family, weird milestone anyone?

This month we saw our little man turn two and it's hard to believe entered the world so long ago. He should still be an infant right? I began trying to overcome my fears of using my camera in public, hence the grocery store photograph. My fabulous hubby bought me a macro lens, and I took advantage of using it on my favorite necklace. We visited the doctor for a well child check. And I also tried some long exposure shots during the daylight hours to capture the energy of our children. I say this month was a success. :)

MIP - January 2012

I decided to join another fun group called A Month in Photos. I figured since I am already doing a 365 project this would be an easy fit. I chose to use Rebecca's template, but I have a feeling I'll be tweaking it every now again. I'm really excited to see it through to the end and be able to look back and see how I've grown over the year, not to mention how the kids will grow. ;)
